September 2011. We hired a car from Sabry Juma, at Zanzibar Car Hire Ltd, and were very pleased with his excellent service. The car was very good and Sabry, who speaks fluent English, was willing to meet us at the airport or to bring it to our hotel, whichever we preferred. He gave us a very competitive price, much lower than other Zanzibar car rental outfits. And he provided us with a good map of the island. Sabry suffered a personal tragedy when his wife was drowned on the Zanzibar-Pemba ferry that sank in the early hours of 10th September, a few hours before we left the island. Yet he still came personally to the airport to complete his business with us - displaying an unbelievably high standard of professionalism. We have huge respect for this man and would not hesitate in recommending his services.
