Pemba

Ngezi Forest: This unique forest in the north of Pemba is the last tropical rainforest on the island. Tall standing trees surround seasonal lakes, partly overgrown with ficus trees. Nature is amazing!

The tour can be combined with a visit to Chwaka Ruins.

Full Day

Flying Foxes: These giant bats are indigenous to Pemba and form an integral part of the Pemba ecosystem.

Half Day, can be combined with other half day tours.

Historical Tour: By visiting the ruins of Chwaka, Pujini, and/or Ras Mkumbuu Ruins you will follow us on an excursion into the fascinating past of Pemba Island.

Full Day by either combining Pujini with Ras Mkumbuu or by combining Chwaka with Ngezi Forest

Chake Chake: We visit the buzzing market of this largest town of Pemba, then continue to the museum, where we learn a lot of interesting facts about the changing history of the island.

Half Day

Spice Tour with Clove Oil Destillery: Pemba is famous for her cloves. Until this day, Pemba cloves are the best in the world, and one of the main exports of Tanzania. Please visit with us a clove oil destillery! On a traditional spice farm, we will also see lots of other spices.
